For the past year, CatchLight Local Fellow Yesica Prado has documented the culture of vehicular living in the Bay Area, examining how policies and regulations such as overnight parking bans are affecting her community of residents living in their cars and RVs in Berkeley and San Francisco.⁠ The first two chapters of Yesica’s in-depth visual investigation are now published on the SF Public Press, CatchLight and GroundTruth, along with a self documentation of Yesica’s daily life while she quarantines in her RV.

Additionally, Yesica has worked in partnership with CatchLight’s Artists Against an #Infodemic Campaign, a partnership with Dysturb and the EveryDay Projects, to bring key health information and resources related to COVID-19 to vehicular residents in both Berkeley and San Francisco.
